A buddy of mine bounces at a local bar. One Friday his coworker called in sick so my buddy called me to see if I could fill in. I gladly accepted even though I’ve never done anything like that in the past. We had a great time talking, staring at drunk girls, and kicking the random drunk fratboy out. I was getting paid to do what I’d like to do every Friday. They hired me after that night.

Everything was great the first 2 or 3 months. There were no major problems until the last time I bounced. It was enough psychological trauma to give me the distrust of humanity required by all bouncers. For some reason the night revolved around piss. It seemed to take many forms, but in the end it was still piss.
