Rain in Odaiba
I needed to get out of the hostel so I took off to Odaiba. It is a small island just off of Tokyo. It is made from a landfill and is now a big tourist attraction. The attached picture is of the mini State of Liberty. My goal is to do as many indoor activities as possible.
In the hostel again
Aaron and Kumi wanted some alone time. Apparently that doesn’t include me so I am back in a hostel for a couple of nights.
Update:
This is a joke. I completely understand the need for a couple to have time alone. This wasn’t an issue at all.
Keep out!
Following hot Japanese girl’s directions led me to the Imperial Gardens in Tokyo. They also led me to this sign. I can’t quite understand the logic here. Doesn’t “keep out” imply not to camp. How do you camp while keeping out? I guess it could mean not to camp in the park but then it would also mean to keep out of the park.
Back in Hibiya
A cute girl sat next to me on a bench. We were talking a bit but she turned down my suggestiom that we go for a walk. It was a bit confusing because she was still flirty even after mentioning her boyfriend. There was a very long pause when she left. She wanted to say something but ended up telling me how to get to the Imperial Gardens. Another young lady has sat down but is not talking. Maybe I should put my phone down.
Gift wine
I just looked up where the bottle of wine we were given came from. It’s a nice french $70/bottle margaux. I’m having a great time thinking about Melissa and I wandering around Tokyo drinking from a $70 bottle of wine at 4:30 am.
Thank you tattooed, possibly convict English men.
Too dark
I just found out that we crashed a private party. They asked us not to leave. Apparently these crazy Japanese are mostly medical students. Even the DJ is one.
