Harajuku started out as a place to friends to meet and get away from Japan&#039;s opressive society and they could identify each other through their fashion interests.

Most of the &quot;harajuku&quot; kids that I&#039;ve talked to are just annoyed with all the tourists and cameras and wish everyone would leave them alone.</description>
