Salsa is Delicious

Mar 17 2008 Published by Eli under Nothing

This weekend was jam packed full of adventure. It started with a gathering of about 6 people at a middle-east restauraunt in Copacabana. The food was ok, if not slightly overpriced (WAY overpriced by Rio standards). Afterwards, we went salsa dancing in Lapa. Lapa is a HUGE party place in Rio. There are bars and clubs all over and people drink on the streets. The food vendors would be sued within minutes if they hit the streets in America. Almost every one roasts raw, unrefrigerated meat over open fires. It is really quite a sight. I peed at the Copacabana Palace

After dinner last night, Barbara and I had to use the bathroom. She mentioned that we should use the bathroom at the Copacabana Palace. I was a little hesitant, but went along with it. They didn’t seem to mind. If they did mind, they didn’t show it. We were in and out fairly quickly.

Dinner In Ipanema

Here’s a picture of dinner with some friends in Ipanema.  We went out for Sue’s birthday to a place called Espeluncer.  I have no idea what it means.  Maybe it has something to do with cave diving.

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Sue is in the front on the left. Nela is in the back on the left.  Barbara is in the back on the right.  That’s my beautiful face in the front.
